About Us

Elizabeth, founder of Care in Crete, has lived in Crete since 1985.  She started Care in Crete in 2018. Having experienced the healthcare system in Crete many times over the years, she decided to use her experience and knowledge to help those living or holidaying here who do not have a direct support system (as local Cretans usually do).

Her Quotes

Care in Crete works to provide carers for those needing help when relying on the help of friends and neighbours becomes too much of an imposition.”

Navigating the healthcare system can be difficult especially when you are ill – we are here to help with language barriers, and to help you and your loved ones make the right choices for your care.

Testimonials

"Elizabeth organised care for my father at very short notice, she helped immensely supporting my mother and helping with translating etc when things got too overwhelming. Elizabeth and her team were very professional and the care given to my father by Eva who was fantastic, which made all the difference to his comfort in his final days. We would highly recommend their services."

"I found Elizabeth and Care in Crete after my father, who retired to Plakias, became very frail. She found a lovely carer very quickly and the lady was a blessing. She got on very well with my father and used to stay and talk to him long after her shift was over. She was with my dad the day he passed away and I genuinely believe her presence eased his passing considerably. Elizabeth is very professional and kind and took the trouble to attend my father's funeral, along with the carer. Highly reccomended for professionalism, kindness and compassion. Thank you again Elizabeth."

"Care in Crete and Elizabeth delivered much needed support for my elderly parents. Elizabeth was able to find a lovely and kind lady to help my parents at home. Elizabeth was able to tailor the support to exactly what we and my parents needed. Thank you!"
